Heritage Farms Northwest
May 19, 2013 at 8:25 pm
Heritage Farms Northwest is thrilled to be joining the Saturday Market, starting this coming Saturday May 25th. We will be at the market every week from now till the end of the season.
Where as many farms raise "a few" pigs to augment their cows, sheep, goats, chickens and such, here at Heritage Farms Northwest hogs are what we do and fabulous pork is what we produce.
We raise a rare breed called Red Wattle Hogs that are known for their fabulous tasting meat. It is well marbled and loaded with flavor. We raise our hogs from birth till finishing on 45 acres located just a bit southwest of Dallas. They are always out in the pastures (even at 3 days old!), always fed great quality feed that we mix ourselves, and NEVER fed antibiotics or other growth stimulants. In fact we want our hogs to grow slowly as nature intended. It makes for better tasting meat and a healthier hog.
Join us on our facebook page to learn more about us, our farm and our hogs (PORK!), vist our website at http://www.heritagefarmsnw.com or just stop by our booth at this week's market. I think we'll be in the spot next to the information booth (but I can't be 100% sure until we are actually there!). If we aren't there, have a look around and find us. You won't be disappointed in the quality of pork and the HUGE selection of cuts that we have available each week.
See you at the market!
