Gathering Places

Salem Saturday Markets are gathering places in the community with live music, good food and special events unique to each market. Now in its 15th year, Salem Saturday Market operates three outdoor markets and The Holiday Market in December.  The open-air markets run from April through October, on Saturdays, Wednesdays and Mondays, rain or shine. Over 200 local vendors bring their farm produce, meats, cheeses, specialty food, cut flowers, nursery plants, handcrafted items and freshly prepared food to sell each week. All products offered are grown, raised or hand crafted by the person who sells it. Customers have come to rely on our vendors when looking for high quality, locally produced goods. Tables and chairs under the trees and around the market make it a pleasant place to enjoy lunch, stock up on fresh fruits and veggies for home, pick up a gift or just watch people.

The Salem Saturday Market Holiday Market is a special event featuring unique handcrafted gift items and foods for the holiday table made by almost 200 vendors. It is held indoors at the Oregon State Fairgrounds on the second weekend in December each year. All products are juried for this event also to assure quality and it is made by the person selling it. The Salem Saturday Market’s Holiday Market has been voted the best Holiday Market in the Willamette Valley for several years. With 15,000 visitors, the Holiday Market is the largest all hand-crafted holiday market in Oregon. No admission fee is charged. You will find thousands of gift ideas for everyone on your list.
